UNIPIPE WIRSBO Considerations The Manifold Free Quotation

To consider underfloor heating for your project it is necessary to understand the costs involved. Because the requirements of every installation will vary it is not possible to give a price based on area - to do so would lead to significant margins of error and the possibility of material shortages or wastage which can prove expensive.
To assist, we can arrange for a FREE detailed quotation for your project. The quotation will contain a detailed breakdown of every component needed for installation - showing quantities and individual prices.
Once you have received your quotation you are at liberty to proceed, if you wish, with an order. Delivery of goods normally takes place within 3-4 working days.

In order for us to proceed we need key information.

You need to supply a drawing of the area, areas or property in which you intend to install the system. The drawing needs to contain 6 vital pieces of information that will help determine the materials and quantities required.

1. Choose the system you wish to install:

You can request a quotation for either UNIPIPE or WIRSBO underfloor heating systems. Please state which system you wish to use. (If you require guidance prior to a quotation request please don't hesitate to call us on 02392 349636)

2. Dimensions:

Each area to be heated is called a zone. The drawing needs to indicate the dimensions of each zone (e.g. 3m x 4.5m, not the total m2).

3. Floor Construction:

For us to understand your material requirement it is essential to know how the floor is to be constructed. Some materials required for installation to a solid floor are very different to those required in a timber floor construction. If the floor construction alters throughout the building (either on the same level or floor by floor) this must be stated.

4. The Manifold Position:

Underfloor heating pipes terminate at a manifold. This is where warm water is pumped from and returns to. The size of the manifold will relate to the number of zones (rooms) to be heated. If you have more than one floor you will require more than one manifold. Each floor of the property will require a manifold. Extremely large properties may benefit from more than one manifold per floor. It is important to plan where you will place (and hide) manifolds. As pipe lengths are calculated from the location of the manifold to the heating zone the position is an important factor. Subsequent changes to a manifold position may affect your material requirements.

5. Controls:

Each zone is controlled by a thermostat. Individual room stats enable you to select different temperatures in each room and allows your system to regulate the temperature in each zone independently of others. Room Stats can be 'hard-wired' or 'wireless' and feed a signal back to the wiring centre for the manifold, which in turn energises actuators on the respective manifold loop allowing warm water to flow (or not) as required. You should therefore state when requesting your quotation whether you want wired or wireless equipment.

6. Property and Contact Details:

Each quotation is allocated a reference based on the address of the property into which the equipment will be installed. Please ensure that the project address is stated on the drawing. If the address to which the quotation is to be posted is different please include and indicate this clearly.

It is helpful if you can include a telephone contact number with your drawing. In the event that the estimating department need further information or discover an issue they will be able to communicate with you swiftly. This ensures fast turnaround, getting your quotation back to you promptly.
