| • The
boiler must be installed by a competent person in accordance with the
rules in force in the United Kingdom.
• A special
piping kit is available for Micron 30-80 models to facilitate connection
from below if required.
• The 30-50
models do not have a pump overrun and therefore do not need a bypass.
Also, the electrical wiring to the boiler does not have to provide a
permanent live supply.
• The
Micron 60-120 models do not require a system bypass if used on a 3-port
("Y" plan or flow share) valve system, where one port (to
domestic hot water heating or central heating) is always open. However, on
systems controlled with 2 - port valves ("S" plan) then a system
bypass should be provided. If required minimum bypass should be: 15mm -
60FF. 22mm - 70 to 80FF. 28mm - 100 to 120FF.
• Where
TRV’s are used one radiator should be left uncontrolled or a separate
system bypass must be fitted. It is acceptable to use one radiator as a
bypass if fitted with two lockshield valves.
• A
combined cold feed and vent system as described in the latest copy of
BS5449 can be used with the Micron 30-80 models provided that the minimum
static head is 1.5 metres or above.
• The
domestic hot water cylinder must be a double feed (fully indirect) design.
• An
optional inbuilt programmer kit is available for the 30-80 models.
• Micron
30 is not range rated. |
