To help you make the right boiler selection, use the table below to
identify the correct choice for your requirements.

| A
rough guide to system types |
|
Combination
boilers
|
Combination boilers supply both central heating and domestic hot water
directly from the boiler, so there is no need for a hot water cylinder
or cold water tank. This makes them the perfect choice where there is
no loft or where space is at a premium. Instantaneous hot water is
available on demand and you can have a high performance shower too.
|
| System boilers |
System boilers are designed for use with a hot water cylinder and
provide both central heating and domestic hot water in larger homes,
or homes with more than one bathroom. With all major components
built-in, system boilers have been designed for greater
reliability as well as quicker, neater and easier installation.
System boilers can be installed with any conventional hot
water cylinder or with an unvented cylinder,
which gives the benefit of mains pressure hot water.
|
|
Condensing boilers
|
Condensing boilers are fitted with a high performance heat
exchanger which recaptures otherwise wasted heat. The result of this
is even better performance, greater energy efficiency and lower
running costs and emissions. Condensing technology is available in
both combination and system boilers for all domestic applications.

Unvented Cylinder Systems
|
Unvented hot water cylinders ensure optimum performance with
hot water supplied at mains pressure, without the need for a cold
water tank or pipework in your loft. For use with a system boiler.
