Notes • The boiler must be installed by a competent person in accordance with the rules in force in the United Kingdom.• The Ultimate 30-120FF and FF/LPG models do not require a system bypass if used on a 3-port ("Y" plan or flowshare) valve system, where one port (to domestic hot water heating or central heating) is always open. However, on systems controlled with 2 port valves ("S" plan) then a system bypass should be provided. If required, minimum bypass should be: 15mm - 30FF to 60FF. 22mm - 70FF to 80FF. 28mm 100FF to 120FF.• A combined cold feed and vent system as described in the latest copy of BS5449 can be used with Ultimate 30-80FF and FF/LPG models provided that the minimum static head is 1.5 metres or above.• Where TRV’s are used one radiator should be left uncontrolled or a separate system bypass must be fitted. It is acceptable to use one radiator as a bypass if fitted with two lockshield valves. • The domestic hot water cylinder must be a double feed (fully indirect) design. |
