Installation
As an unvented cylinder of more than 15 litres capacity, Xstreme must be installed by a competent installer in accordance with local Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and Building Regulations*

*England and Wales - G3, Scotland - P3

 

Cold water control
Combination inlet group regulating the hot water supply to a static pressure of 1.5bar at the cylinder.

Compatible with gas or oil fired boilers either sealed system or open vent type.

If you require an open vented model please add OV to the model size - or SS for a sealed system.

Pressure testing
All cylinders are 100% factory pressure tested to ensure trouble-free operation.

 

Electrical
Connection is direct to terminals in the immersion heater which must be permanently connected to the supply through a double pole linked isolating switch with a minimum breaking capacity of 16A. On indirect models, controls should be wired to the boiler, programmer etc in accordance with the control scheme being used. All electrical installations must conform to the current IEE Wiring Regulations.

 

Flow rates
The Xstreme will provide very high flow rates under adequate supply conditions. Minimum supply pressure should not be less than 2 bar. (The Xstreme will operate at lower values but outlet flow rates will be reduced, especially with multi draw-offs.)

 

Plumbing
Inlet / Outlet: 22mm copper tube suitable for push-fit connections or compression fittings.

Indirect coil: 22mm copper tube suitable for push-fit connections or compression fittings 1/2" T&P relief valve 15mm compression outlet.

 

Tundish
15mm inlet and 22mm compression outlet.

 

Water expansion
A potable water expansion vessel is supplied with each Xstreme unvented cylinder. This can be mounted on top of the unit for ease of access and maintenence.

 

Insulation
High density CFC-free polyurethane foam within steel outer casing (ozone depleting potential ODP = zero)
