Xstreme

Gledhill Compact unvented mains pressure hot water storage cylinder

Gledhill Xtreme Unvented Mains Pressure Hot Water System

Domestic mains pressure hot water

The Power of Mains Pressure
The proven twin-tank design of the Xstreme means that it can deliver mains pressure hot water at high flow rates - sufficient to fill a bath in under 3 minutes and is eminently suitable for multi-bathroom properties. A powerful shower can also be used without the need for expensive pumps. All this can be achieved without the need for a separate cold water storage tank.

Choose Xstreme Indirect and you have the the option of 5 models, with heating and recovery times up to twice as fast as less efficient alternatives, and which can be heated by any oil or gas fired boiler. Or Xstreme Direct with 3 electrically-heated options.

High Performance
The highest possible hourly output is the result of very high performance coil rating. This means that a smaller store size can be used when compared with almost any other unvented cylinder (see selection guide).

The reasons for this very high performance are clear:

The heat exchanger is copper not steel
A full size coil is fitted IN EACH LEG OF THE TWIN TANK CONSTRUCTION
The useful water in a twin tank construction is significantly greater because THE WHOLE CONTENTS ARE HEATED when circulation takes place between the two legs.

Low standing loss
The rectangular case allows much greater foam thickness than conventional circular shapes but fits neatly into rectangular or square cupboards.

How it works
  1. Cold water from the main enters at A ensuring that all the contents can be used.
  2. Very high efficiency coils B provide fast heat-up and the configuration promotes gravity circulation between the tubes to ensure there is no stagnant water.
